The Los Angeles Public Library has partnered with The Princeton Review to offer free college preparation workshops and practice tests online. In order to enroll in a session, please enter your information on the following form and select the events you would like to attend. Registration will close 24 hours prior to event to allow for processing and online enrollment. If you have any remaining questions, please reach out to your local library for information. ACT/SAT Preparation Series
In this online series, students will take a practice test and will virtually attend two strategy review sessions to provide a better understanding of how to improve test scores. Students will also gain access to an online portal to review their score reports, where they will receive detailed feedback and recommendations. (A 30 minute lunch break will be provided midway through the class session)

Paying for College
College is a huge financial investment and paying for college is often the primary concern of parents and students. In this virtual session, The Princeton Review will outline financial aid strategies and ways to make college affordable for everyone. Participants will learn about different forms of financial aid, applying for scholarships, and how to make smart financial decisions.

In this online session, students will review college admission requirements and application timelines. Students will also learn the differences between community college, private universities, UCs, CSUs and out of state options. As well as answer some other questions you may have such as: What is Early Admission/Early Decision? Why do they care about your high school GPA and test scores?

College Application - Personal Statement
The college admission essay is an important but often overlooked key to admission. The majority of colleges require an essay as part of the application process, but what do you say? How do you tell your story? In this online session, students will learn key tips and strategies to improve their essays and allow their voices and ideas to be clearly heard.

PSAT Now What?
In this online session, college admission experts will walk students through an analysis of their PSAT score report. They will help figure out which admission test you should focus on (SAT,ACT, SAT Subject Tests) and how to start creating a testing plan.

SAT vs ACT
Choosing between the ACT®, SAT® is like deciding between Snapchat or Instagram Stories. They’re both going to share a story with your friends, but some people may like one more than the other. In this online session, we will break down each test and give students all the details they need to decide whether they should take the ACT or SAT…or both!
